Admission Procedure

Everyone at St. Mary's works hard to create an exciting, stimulating and caring environment, to enable each boy and girl to reach his/her full potential. All our pupils are also expected to make their own contribution to school life.

We've developed an admissions process which looks at a pupil's current and potential academic ability as well as whether he/she will be happy in our school environment. We welcome boys and girls from all walks of life.

When admissions open

Students of all ages can apply at the time of announcement of admission by the school, usually in the month of January, at the beginning of the new session. The school reserves the right to close admissions once seats are filled.

How to apply

1. Pick up or download the registration form. Families begin the application by completing the registration form. It can be picked up from the admission office or e-mailed on request.
2. Submit documents. The Admissions team requires the filled form along with:
   • A recommendation letter from the previous school
   • Final school grades from the previous year, duly attested by the Head of the institution
3. Assessment & interaction. Students from Grade 6 to 12 are shortlisted on the basis of past school records and teacher recommendations. From Grade 6 onward, applicants visit St. Mary's for a short subject-aptitude assessment, followed by an interview with the Academic Head.
4. Decision. Parents are notified of the decision within seven working days. The school offers admission to students whose record indicates they will succeed in our academic programme; we also consider talents in other fields, personality and self-confidence.
5. Waiting pool. If places are not available for a particular grade, the student is placed in a waiting pool.
